Genesis Grain and Fertilizer is hosting a series of farm meetings this week across Saskatchewan to raise capital for its fertilizer business. Bob Friesen with Genesis Grain and Fertilizer says seven fertilizer distribution centres will be set up across the prairies, including three in Saskatchewan. He hopes to raise a minimum of 24-million dollars. The distribution centres will be part of Project N, a two-billion dollar fertilizer plant being built west of Regina near Belle Plaine. The plant is part of Genesis, a farmer owned company led by the group Farmers of North America.
